Renato began studying piano at the age of 8. At the age of 13, he enroled the Coimbra Conservatory in classical percussion. By the age of 16, he began studying drums at the Academic Association of Coimbra. At the same time he also starts playing in bands, and has never stopped since.

In 2011 he embarked on a trip to China and took a 6-month tour in Asia. Since 2012 he has been following great music projects and accompanied artists such as Rita Guerra, José Cid, Miguel Gameiro, etc. He often records for international artists.

For him, playing with the Groove brand is a privilege and an honor.
